My Story
My name is Latisa (aka Tisa), and cooking has always been my passion. I'm currently licensed fully in addition to my CFO license (Cottage Food Operations). I started baking homemade cakes about 5 years, and many of my friends and family urged me to go into the baking business because my cakes are so delicious. It took me a while, but now I'm finally here. Many of us know that it can be a real challenge trying to find good homemade pound cakes nowadays, which is why I started my business. I felt that it was long overdue for the world to finally get a taste of my great skills in this area. My cakes stand apart from others for many reasons. One of the main reasons are that I really have a natural gift for flavors when it comes to baking, and a great appreciation of the hard work and diligence it requires to make a delectable pound cake. I have so much pride in cooking, which is what my late mother instilled in me years ago. She taught me to always make everything I created the best it could be, with no short cuts or exceptions. I still follow and stand my those words to this day. All of the ingredients I use in my cakes are of the freshest value and quality at all times. As many people who know me are aware of, I am a perfectionist when it comes to my cooking. That being said, I must always make sure that all of my cakes are top knotch, and as delicious as possible. My current pound cake flavors are: Vanilla Almond, Lemon Zest, Milk Chocolate, and Strawberry. I work alone with my baking, and I work from my home in the bay area. Due to me working alone at the moment in my start-up company, I ask that everyone wishing to purchase a cake from me please give me 3 -7 days to fill an order. My whole cakes are $30 each, and I also sell mini pound cakes as well for at 6 for $15, and 12 for $25. If the order is for more than one dozen minis, the price will be determined accordingly with a fair discount. *Please note that I only sell mini pound cakes individually if I have several orders of them by many people (this is rare). Otherwise, they start at a minimum of a package of 6 minis. Also, if an order is made of over 12 minis, 50% (deposit) of the total cost must be given to me as a deposit up front in cash or credit before I begin the baking process. If you wish to cancel and order and receive a refund, it must be within 48hrs after a payment is made to me. After the 48 hours have passed, the baking process will have begun, and no refunds will be issued at that point.
